Gilda Mathew
A Master of Science in Child Development from the University of Kerala, she has done a course in Personal Counseling from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education Management from the SNDT University, Mumbai.
For 15 years she was a lecturer in the Department of Preschool Teacher Training of Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai. From 1996 to 2005, she was the Head of the Department. She restructured the curriculum of the department to accommodate the evolving needs of children in the Early Childhood period. She lectures and is responsible for the overall functioning of Shikshaa.
Sarbaree Mitra

A Master of Arts in English Literature from Jadavpur University, she has done her Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education from the Mumbai University. She taught in the Sophia Nursery for six years and was a lecturer in the Department of Preschool Teacher Training, Sophia Polytechnic for nine years.
Proficient in yoga training, she introduced it in the syllabus for the teacher trainees and yoga now is an integral part of most Mumbai preschools. An efficient and responsible lecturer, she lectures for Shikshaa and is responsible for the administration in Shikshaa.

Shikshaa Alumni have been trained over the years to take lectures, conduct demonstrations and supervise class activties. They are dedicated, responsible and inspiring to the new generations of teacher trainees.
