FOUNDATION COURSE IN LEARNING DISABILITIES

THE PROGRAM
A foundation course specially designed with theory, practical and remedial activities to help parents, teachers and ‘the others’ in the environment of a child with learning disabilities to understand the child keenly and sensitively.

This part time course will help students plan and prepare remedial activities that will inspire and motivate the child with learning disabilities to enjoy learning and develop powers of concentration and attention. Observations and case studies form an intense part of this curriculum.
A. COURSE OBJECTIVES
-
To increase awareness of learning disabilities, and a concern for the learning disabled child.

To understand the importance of identification, assessment and remediation strategies for learning disabilities.

To help teachers and parents maximize the potential of the learning disabled child and help them cope with confidence.

B. QUALIFICATIONS

Parents and teachers interested in developing an awareness of learning disabilities.

D. ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Candidates will be required to write an essay and will be interviewed by the Head of Shikshaa.

Cheques or Demand Draft will be accepted.

Candidates who complete the course successfully will be awarded a

"Certificate - Foundation course in Learning Disabilities".
