Shikhaa, center for Integral Education, was established in the year 2005 by teacher educators who felt the need to evolve and progress in the field of teacher training. Today, the Shikshaa alumni represent a network of teachers who are sincere, dedicated, innovative, and committed towards the growing psychological demands of the child in the Early Childhood stage.

A. OBJECTIVES

Sharing of information, knowledge, expertise, creative expression and thoughts with those who desire to develop in the field of teaching

To train teachers develop their skills in music and movement, drama, puppetry, language, math, preparation of teaching aids, yoga, curriculum planning, creativity, etc.

To be able to reach out to teachers of underprivileged schools and in this way to uplift a society of teachers who deal with a majority of our children.

To enable teachers to develop teaching aids that are indigenous, attractive and practical for use.
B. GENERAL INFORMATION

Staff of the centre will be involved in the consultancy program.

The consultancy program will be developed under supervision of the staff.

Consultancy fees will be decided in collaboration with the school concerned.

Follow up to consultation will be inculded in the program.
